Transferring accounts & ownership to you

How we ensure you have complete ownership and control of all your digital assets at the end of a project.

At Chykalophia, we believe that acting as a true Growth Partner means building your digital cathedral, not holding it hostage. You paid for these digital assets, and you should own them entirely.

Quick summary

During the launch and handoff phase of your project, we will ensure that your business email or designated team member holds the Primary Owner role for all critical accounts (Hosting, Domain, Google Analytics, Software Licenses). We will seamlessly transition ourselves down to a Manager/Admin role, or remove ourselves entirely.

The ownership handoff process

Beginner 3 minutes

If we need to create brand new accounts for your business during our engagement (such as setting up a new Google Analytics 4 property, registering a new domain, or opening a new hosting account), we follow a strict offboarding protocol.

1. We create the accounts cleanly

Whenever possible, we will ask you to create the initial account using your own company email address and billing details, and then invite us via delegate access.

If we must create the account on your behalf to save time, we will set it up using a generic company email you provide (e.g., webmaster@yourcompany.com) rather than our own agency emails.

2. We transfer Primary Ownership

Before our final project sign-off, we will initiate an ownership transfer for any assets we hold.

  • For Google Analytics & Search Console: We will elevate your email address to the "Administrator" role and remove our overarching control.
  • For Web Hosting: If we spun up a new WP Engine or Kinsta account for you, we will transfer the billing and primary ownership directly to your email address.
  • For Software Licenses: If you purchased premium plugins or themes, we will ensure the license keys are registered to your email, not ours.

3. You revoke our active access

Once you confirm you have Primary Ownership, the final step is for you to revoke our day-to-day access. You can follow our simple guide on how to revoke our access later to close all the doors securely.
