Give us access to Google Search Console

How to grant our team access to Google Search Console so we can monitor your search health and fix indexing issues.

While Google Analytics tells us what people do on your website, Google Search Console tells us how people find your website. We use this tool to submit your sitemap to Google, see which search queries bring people to your site, and fix the issues Google reports about your pages.

Quick summary

Log in to Google Search Console, select your website property, and click Settings in the left menu. Click Users and permissions, click Add user, and invite support@chykalophia.com as a Full user. Only a property owner can add users.

Step-by-step instructions

Log in to Search Console. Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in.

Select your property. In the top-left corner, click the dropdown menu and ensure you have the correct website property selected (e.g., https://yourwebsite.com).

Go to Settings. In the left-hand sidebar, click Settings.

Manage users. Click on Users and permissions. This page only appears if you are an owner of the property — owners are the only people who can add or remove users.

Add our team. Click Add user.

Enter details and permissions. Type support@chykalophia.com into the email field, choose the Full permission level, and save your changes.

Common questions

Why do you need 'Full' permissions instead of 'Restricted'?

A "Restricted" user gets simple view rights on most data. A "Full" user can submit sitemaps, inspect individual URLs and ask Google to index the new pages we've built for you, and tell Google when we've fixed an issue it reported.

Will you get emails every time Google finds an error on my site?

Yes, and that's exactly why we need access. Search Console emails you when Google identifies an issue on your site, and Full users receive those messages too. We want our team to see them so we can fix the issue before it affects your organic traffic.

I've never heard of Search Console. Do I have it?

If you aren't sure, you probably don't have it set up yet. It's a free tool from Google, but it requires verifying that you own the site. Let your project lead know, and we will handle the setup and verification process for you during onboarding.
