Your WPMU DEV login · You must be the Hub account owner — team members can't invite other team members

WPMU DEV's Hub is the dashboard that manages WordPress sites: updates, backups, uptime, security scans, performance and, on their hosting, the sites themselves. If your sites are managed through a Hub, we need to be added as a team member.

Quick summary

In The Hub, open your profile menu and choose My Team, then New Team Member. Enter support@chykalophia.com (unless your project lead gave you a different address), choose the sites we should see, and pick the View & Edit – All role. We confirm the invitation by email before the account becomes active.

What you'll need

  • Your WPMU DEV login.
  • To be the Hub account owner. WPMU DEV is clear that team members cannot create other team members, so if you were added to this Hub by someone else, the invitation has to come from whoever owns it.
  • The email address for our team: support@chykalophia.com

What Hub access does and doesn't cover

This is the part worth reading before you invite anyone, because Hub access is narrower than people expect:

  • It covers Hub features only. WPMU DEV states it does not grant access to your WPMU DEV account itself, or to anything else tied to that account.
  • It is not wp-admin access. Hub team members don't get into the admin area of your connected websites using their Hub credentials. If we also need to work inside WordPress, that's a separate invitation — see give us WordPress admin access.
  • You choose the sites. Access can be granted site by site, so other sites in the Hub stay private.
  • You choose how much control. Access can be limited by area (which Hub sections), by task (what can be done there), or to view-only.

How to invite us

Log in to The Hub at wpmudev.com and open it.

Open My Team. Click your profile menu and choose My Team.

Start the invitation. Click New Team Member. If you've never added anyone, the button reads Add First Team Member.

Enter our email and name. Use support@chykalophia.com — unless your project lead gave you a different address — and put "Chykalophia" as the name.

Select sites. Choose the sites we should be able to manage. Pick only the ones we're working on if you'd rather keep the rest private.

Select the role. Choose View & Edit – All for normal project work. See the roles below if you want something tighter.

Send it. Save the team member. WPMU DEV emails us an invitation, and our account stays Pending in your list until we click Confirm in that email.

Let us know. Drop a note in your ClickUp task or email us so we know to accept it.

There are two optional fields on that screen: Notes, for your own reference, and Add-Ons, which is where the paid Support Access add-on lives if you want a team member to have WPMU DEV's live chat support. Neither is needed for us.

The roles

The Hub ships with two default roles, plus custom ones you can build:

View & Edit – All

Access to and control of every Hub feature, for the sites you selected.

Best for active project work, where we're running updates, backups and fixes.

View Only – All

Every Hub screen is visible for the selected sites, but no setting can be changed.

Good for an audit or a quote, where we only need to look.

If neither fits, you can create a custom role and choose exactly which areas and tasks it covers. Custom roles appear in the same dropdown afterwards and can be reused for other people.

Using the white-label Hub Client plugin?

If you run WPMU DEV's Hub Client plugin so your team sees your own branded portal, invite us from that site rather than from the WPMU DEV Hub. WPMU DEV's reason: the link in the invitation email points wherever the invitation came from, so inviting from your own site keeps us in your branded portal.

How to remove our access later

Open My Team → Team Members, click the kebab icon (the three dots) on our row, and choose Remove user. The same menu has Manage, which is where you'd change our role or the sites we can see instead of removing us outright.

Common questions

Can you see my WPMU DEV billing or membership?

No. WPMU DEV limits team access to Hub features, and says explicitly that it does not grant access to your WPMU DEV account or to account-specific features.

Do you get into my WordPress admin through this?

Not through the Hub. Team members don't reach the wp-admin area of connected sites with their Hub credentials. Plenty of work can be done from the Hub itself — updates, backups, scans — but anything inside the site needs a WordPress user as well.

I'm on the free Hub. Can I still add you?

Yes, but only one team member in total. That's a WPMU DEV restriction on free accounts, so if you already have someone on your team you'll need to remove them or upgrade before adding us.

Why does your account say Pending?

Because we haven't clicked Confirm in the invitation email yet. The account isn't active until we do. If it stays Pending for more than a day, email us — the invitation may have gone to spam.

Can I share my WPMU DEV login instead?

We'd rather not. A named team member is easier to revoke, keeps your password private, and leaves a record of who changed what. See delegate access vs. sharing a password.

Can you add other people to the Hub once you're in?

No. Only the Hub account owner can create team members, so anyone else who needs access has to be invited by you.

Need a hand?

If you're stuck, email support@chykalophia.com and we'll help. Include your website address and a screenshot if you can.
