- You’ll need
- Owner or Admin access to your Mailchimp account
If your website captures leads or newsletter subscribers, we need to ensure those contacts flow seamlessly into your Mailchimp audience. We also need access to design branded email templates and build automated welcome sequences to nurture your new leads.
Quick summary
Log in to Mailchimp, click your profile icon, and go to Account & billing. Click the Settings drop-down, select Users, and click Invite A User. Enter support@chykalophia.com, choose the user level your project lead asked for, and send the invitation.
Step-by-step instructions
Mailchimp’s invitation system allows us to log in securely with our own credentials, protecting your personal password. You need to be the account Owner or an Admin to invite someone.
Log in to Mailchimp. Go to mailchimp.com and sign in.
Open your Account settings. Click your profile icon, then click Account & billing.
Navigate to Users. Click the Settings drop-down, then click Users.
Enter our details. Type support@chykalophia.com into the email address field.
Choose the user level. Mailchimp's levels are Owner, Admin, Manager, Author and Viewer, and your pricing plan decides which of them you can use. Manager is only available on the Premium plan; Admin is available on Essentials, Standard and Premium, and has the same permissions as the Owner. Your project lead will tell you which level we need for your project.
Send the invitation. Click Send Invite. We will receive an email to securely join your account. Invitation links expire 7 days after they're sent, so let us know if ours lapses and you can send a new one.
Common questions
Why isn't the Author level enough?
The Author level can create, edit and delete emails and templates and view reports, but it can't add or access API keys, check integrations, or import an audience. Integration work — connecting Mailchimp to your website, managing your audience, and switching automation flows on and off — needs Manager or Admin.
How do I remove your access when the project is done?
Go back to Account & billing → Settings → Users, click the Revoke Access button for our user, then confirm by clicking Delete User in the pop-up. Owners and Admins can revoke other users' access at any time.
