Give us access to your Eventbrite account

How to grant us team access to Eventbrite so we can embed ticketing on your website, sync events, and keep your listings accurate.

Your Eventbrite login

Eventbrite handles event listings, ticket sales, and attendee management. When we embed a ticket checkout on your site or sync your events into a WordPress calendar, we need access to your event data — but not necessarily to your payouts.

Quick summary

In Eventbrite, open your Organization settings → Team management. Create or pick a role first — you can't invite anyone until a role exists for them — then go to Users → Invite users and add support@chykalophia.com. If you can't reach Team management, share the login using our secure password guide and turn on 2FA.

Step-by-step instructions

Log in to Eventbrite. Go to eventbrite.com and sign in with the account that owns your events.

Open your Organization settings. This is the area that covers settings applying across your events, including user permissions.

Open Team management. This is where you set up roles and permissions for team members who help you manage your events.

Create the role we should have. Select Roles. Your organization starts with four default roles: Owner, Admin, Check-in attendees, and Check-in attendees and guests. The two check-in roles only let someone check people in at the door, so they're no use to us. Either use Admin, or choose Create new role and build a custom role with just the permissions you're comfortable giving us — Eventbrite groups them, so you can grant event editing while leaving out Payouts and billing and Advanced reports.

Invite our email address. Go to Users, select Invite users, and add support@chykalophia.com against that role. You can't invite anyone until the role exists.

Tell us it's done. Confirm in your ClickUp task so we can accept.

For website embeds you may only need an API key

If all we're doing is displaying your events on your site, an API key may be enough, with no user access at all. It's in Account settings → API Keys, under Developer Links — note that's your personal Account settings, not Organization settings. Share it via One-Time Secret. Ask us which we need before granting broader access.

Common questions

Can you see ticket revenue or move money?

That's up to the role you give us. Eventbrite groups its permissions, and two things decide this: the Advanced reports permission, in the Reporting group, is what unlocks sales, orders and box office figures, and the Payouts and billing group covers payment methods and payout settings. The Admin role includes everything. Leave both out of a custom role and we can edit events without seeing sales or touching payouts — check the rest of the list too, because Manage card and Manage subscription sit under Event creation. If you'd rather we had no visibility into sales at all, use the API-key route instead of a team invitation.

Team management isn't available in my account. Why?

Team management sits in Organization settings, so first make sure you're looking there and not in your personal Account settings — the two are separate. Remember too that you can't invite a user until you've created a role for them. If it's still not there, ask Eventbrite support.

How do events show up on my website?

Three common ways: an embedded Eventbrite checkout widget, a link out to your Eventbrite listing, or a plugin that pulls events into WordPress so they're styled like the rest of your site and indexable by search engines. The third is best for SEO — see how search engines work.

Who owns the events if we part ways?

You do — the events live in your Eventbrite organization. Remove our team access at the end of the project and nothing about your listings changes. See revoking access.
