Giving Chykalophia access

Give us access to manage your DNS

How to securely grant our team access to your DNS records so we can connect your domain to your new website and email systems.

DNS (Domain Name System) is the internet's phonebook. It tells browsers where your website lives and ensures your emails reach the right inbox. To launch your new site, connect a subdomain, or configure critical email security records (like SPF and DKIM), we need access to manage your DNS.

Quick summary

Your DNS is usually managed where you bought your domain (like GoDaddy or Namecheap) or through a service like Cloudflare. We highly recommend using delegate access to invite support@chykalophia.com so we can update these records without needing your personal password.

Where is my DNS managed?

Beginner 3 minutes

For most businesses, DNS records are located in the same place you registered your domain name. However, if you have a dedicated IT team, your DNS might be routed through a specialized provider like Cloudflare or Amazon Route 53.

If you aren't sure where your DNS is managed, let your project lead know. We can run a quick diagnostic scan to find out for you.

How to grant us access

Because DNS is a critical piece of your business infrastructure, we want to access it as securely as possible.

Most modern platforms allow you to invite a developer. We have specific, step-by-step guides for the most common providers:

If you use a different provider (like Google Domains, Network Solutions, or Hover), look in your account settings for terms like "Delegate Access," "Account Access," or "Share Access," and invite support@chykalophia.com.

Option B: Sharing a password securely

If your provider is older and forces you to share a master password, do not email it to us in plain text. Please use a secure, self-destructing link. Read our guide on sharing passwords safely for step-by-step instructions.
