Step-by-step instructions for logging in to your Squarespace account on a computer or phone, and what to do if you can't get in.

Logging in to Squarespace is how you access your website's editor and settings. You do it through the Squarespace website — there's nothing to install.

Quick summary

Go to account.squarespace.com, enter your email and password (or use the Apple, Facebook, or Google account you signed up with), and you're in. If you forget your password, click Can't log in? on the same page.

How to log in

Open your browser. Go to account.squarespace.com.

Enter your email address. Type the email you used to create your Squarespace account.

Enter your password. Type your password, then click Log In. If you signed up with an Apple, Facebook, or Google account, click that option instead and follow the prompts.

Complete the extra check if prompted. If you've set up two-factor authentication, use your passkey, or enter the code from your authentication app or text message. If you haven't, Squarespace may sometimes email you a code to confirm it's you. Enter the code to continue.

You're in. You'll usually see your account dashboard, which lists every site you own or help run. Hover over a site's preview image and click Go To Website to open it. (If your account only has domains, you'll see the domains dashboard instead.)

Logging in on your phone

The process is the same on a phone. Open your phone's browser (Squarespace supports Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android) and go to account.squarespace.com. The Squarespace app is also available on iOS and Android. It lets you edit existing content and some common settings, but you can't add or rearrange blocks on your pages there.

Mobile vs desktop editing

Some editing features are only fully available in the desktop (computer) editor. For anything beyond simple text changes, use a laptop or desktop computer when possible.

If you forgot your password

Go to account.squarespace.com.

Click "Can't log in?" below the login fields.

Enter your email address and click Send Email.

Check your inbox for an email from no-reply@squarespace.com. Click Password Reset in the email.

Create a new password, then click Save. It must be 6 to 100 characters. Choose something strong: a long phrase, or a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. If you use two-factor authentication, you'll be asked for a code after saving.

If you don't know which email address you used

Check for old emails from Squarespace in all your inboxes. Search for "squarespace" in your email. The address that received their newsletters or receipts is likely the one registered to your account.

If you still can't find it, Squarespace can help. On the login page, click Can't log in?, then Forgot the email address?, and enter your website's address. Common questions

I'm a team member, not the account owner. How do I log in?

If someone added you as a contributor, first accept the invitation email ("New Squarespace Contributor Invitation"). After that, log in at account.squarespace.com with your own email and password. The site appears in your account dashboard alongside any sites you own. You don't log in with the account owner's details.

Chykalophia needs access to my site. What do I do?

Add support@chykalophia.com as a contributor with the appropriate permission level. See Contributors & permissions for step-by-step instructions. Unless your project lead gives you a different address, always use support@chykalophia.com.

I'm being asked to verify my identity every time I log in. Can I stop this?

This is a security feature. If you use two-factor authentication and you're on a trusted personal device, tick Remember this computer for 30 days when you enter your code. Avoid doing this on shared or public computers. If Squarespace keeps emailing you a code instead, turning on two-factor authentication replaces that check.

My password reset email never arrived. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk folder, and check that you're entering the correct email address. Adding no-reply@squarespace.com to your contacts can help. If you request another reset, only the newest email's link will work. If it still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, contact Squarespace support.
