How to navigate between pages in your Webflow site and understand how pages are structured and managed.

Your Webflow site is made up of multiple pages — your homepage, about page, contact page, and more. This guide explains how pages work and how to move between them when you edit your site in Webflow.

Quick summary

In Webflow, use the Pages panel (shortcut: P) to see every page and jump to the one you want to edit. Creating, renaming, and deleting pages is handled by Chykalophia — but with the Content editor role you can edit the content on your pages, and some page settings like the SEO title and description.

Types of pages in Webflow

Your site has a few main kinds of pages:

Static pages — fixed pages like your homepage, About, Services, and Contact. The structure is designed once and you edit the content. Examples: /about, /contact, /services/web-design.

CMS Collection pages — dynamic pages that are generated from your CMS data. For example, if you have a blog, each blog post lives on its own automatically generated page. You don't create these pages individually — you add CMS items instead. See The Webflow CMS, explained.

Utility pages — special pages like your 404 error page, password page, or search results page. These are set up by Chykalophia and rarely need editing.

If your site has a store, Webflow also adds Ecommerce pages, such as the checkout and order confirmation pages.

Navigating to a page in Webflow

The easiest way to move between pages is the Pages panel:

Open your site in Webflow. On the Dashboard, hover over your site and click Open in Webflow.

Open the Pages panel. Click the Pages icon in the left toolbar, or press P.

Click the page you want to edit. It opens on the canvas, ready to edit.

Shortcut from your live site: while you're viewing a page on your live website, add ?update to the end of its web address (for example, yoursite.com/about?update). Webflow opens that page for editing, asking you to sign in first if needed.

Viewing all pages

To see a full list of all pages on your site, open the Pages panel. It shows your pages and the folders they sit in, including draft pages that aren't published yet. If you have a lot of pages, use the panel's search option to find one quickly.

If you can't find a page you're looking for, ask Chykalophia.

Adding new pages

The Content editor role can't create new pages. If you need a new page created, submit a request to Chykalophia. Let us know:

The name and URL of the new page (e.g., /our-team)
What content it should contain
Whether it should appear in your navigation menu

Editing SEO settings for a page

Each page has its own SEO title and meta description. To edit these, see SEO settings in Webflow.

Common questions

I can't find a page I know exists.

Some pages are hidden from the navigation menu but still exist on the site. Search for it in the Pages panel, or try visiting the page URL directly in your browser. If you still can't find it, ask Chykalophia.

Can I change the URL of a page?

Not with the Content editor role: content editors can't change page names, URLs (slugs), or folders. Changing a URL should be done carefully anyway — it can break links and affect SEO, so a 301 redirect is usually needed. Submit a request to Chykalophia with the current URL and the one you'd like.

Navigation menus are usually design elements managed in the Designer. Ask Chykalophia to add a new page to the menu.

Can I duplicate a page?

Pages can be duplicated from their page settings in the Pages panel. The Content editor role can't create new pages, though, so if you need a copy of an existing page as a starting point for a new one, ask Chykalophia.
