The Webflow Dashboard explained
The Dashboard is your home base in Webflow. Here's what you'll see:
Workspaces — Webflow organizes projects into Workspaces. If Chykalophia set up your account, your site will be inside a Workspace they control or one they set up for you. You may see one or more Workspace names along the left side.
Projects — Each project is a website. Click the project card to open it. Most clients have one main project (their website).
The project card — Each project shows the site name, a small thumbnail, and when it was last published. Hover over a project card and you'll see options to open the Designer or the Editor.
Opening your site
Once you click on a project, you'll see options to open it:
- Open in Designer — this is the full design tool. Unless you're a developer or have been trained on it, stick to the Editor instead.
- Open in Editor — this is your content editing interface. This is what you'll use for everyday updates.
For day-to-day editing, always choose the Editor. See Editor mode vs Designer mode for a full explanation.
Workspace settings
In the Dashboard, you can also access:
- Account settings — your personal profile, password, billing, and notification preferences
- Workspace settings — team members, plan details, and integrations (usually managed by Chykalophia)
Most clients don't need to dig into settings. If something feels off, check with us before making changes.
