Managing products in Webflow Ecommerce

How to add, edit, and organize products in your Webflow Ecommerce store — including variants, pricing, and inventory.

webflowe-commercebeginner

Your Webflow store's products are managed from the Webflow Dashboard. This guide walks you through adding new products, editing existing ones, and keeping your catalog organized.

Quick summary

Go to your Webflow Dashboard, open your project, and find the Ecommerce section to manage products. You can add new products, edit details, set variants (like sizes and colors), manage inventory, and set pricing — all without touching the design.

What you'll need

Beginner 10 minutes per product
  • A Webflow account with access to the project
  • Your product information: name, description, price, images, and any variants

Accessing the Products section

Log in to webflow.com and open your project from the Dashboard.

Look for the Ecommerce section in the left sidebar or in the project's settings/overview panel. Click Products.

You'll see your full product catalog. From here you can add new products or click an existing one to edit it.

Adding a new product

Click "New Product" (or the + icon) in the Products panel.

Enter the product name. This is the public-facing name customers see.

Write the product description. Use clear, benefit-focused language. You can use basic formatting (bold, lists).

Upload product images. Add at least one high-quality image. You can add multiple for a gallery. Aim for a consistent aspect ratio across all product images.

Set the price. Enter the selling price. You can also add a "Compare at" price to show a crossed-out original price for sale items.

Set inventory. Turn on inventory tracking if you have a limited quantity. Enter the stock amount.

Add variants if needed. If your product comes in different sizes, colors, or other options, use the Variants section.

Add an SKU (optional). This is your internal product code. Useful if you manage inventory across systems.

Set the slug. Webflow generates this from the product name. It becomes the product's URL path (e.g., /products/blue-ceramic-mug).

Save and publish. Set the product to active and click Save. Then publish the site.

Adding product variants

Variants let customers choose options like size (S, M, L) or color (Red, Blue, Green).

In the product editing panel, find the Variants section.

Add an "Option" (e.g., Size). List the options (e.g., S, M, L, XL).

Repeat for additional options (e.g., Color). Webflow will generate variant combinations automatically.

Set price, inventory, and SKU for each variant if they differ from the main product.

Editing an existing product

Click on any product in the Products list to open its editing panel. Change any field and save. Don't forget to publish the site after saving to make changes visible on the live store.

Managing inventory

For each product (or variant), you can:

  • Track inventory — turn this on to count stock
  • Set stock quantity — enter how many you have
  • Continue selling when out of stock — toggle this to allow overselling, or leave it off to show "Out of stock" automatically

Webflow does not automatically reorder or restock — you'll update quantities manually when you receive new stock.
