An overview of Chykalophia's process from first conversation to launch — and what you can expect at each stage of your project.
Every Chykalophia project follows a clear, structured process. Knowing where you are in that process — and what's coming next — makes working together much smoother.
Quick summary
Projects move through five stages: Discovery & Strategy, Design, Development, Launch & Handoff, and (optionally) ongoing care. You are involved at key points in each stage to review, give feedback, and approve work before it moves forward.
The five stages of a project
Discovery & Strategy. We start by understanding your business, your goals, and your audience. This is where we ask questions, review any existing materials, and define the scope and direction of the project together. See What happens in discovery & strategy.
Design. We create the visual design of your site — layouts, colors, fonts, and the overall look and feel. You'll review and give feedback on designs before any development begins. See What happens in the design phase.
Development. We build the site based on the approved designs. This is when the technical work happens. We may ask clarifying questions, but this phase mainly runs in the background. See What happens in the development phase.
Launch & Handoff. We review the finished site together, resolve any final items, then take the site live. We ensure all accounts and credentials are correctly handed over to you. See What happens at launch & handoff.
Ongoing care (optional). Many clients stay with us for a website care plan, where we handle maintenance, updates, security, and ongoing improvements. This is entirely optional.
Your role throughout the project
You are a key part of every stage. We'll need you to:
- Provide information and materials — logos, copy, images, brand guidelines — on schedule
- Review and give feedback — on designs, on content, and on the finished build
- Make decisions promptly — delays in approvals cause delays to the whole project
- Grant access when needed — to accounts like hosting, Google Analytics, or social media

How we communicate
We manage all project work in ClickUp, a shared project management tool. This is where you'll see tasks, leave feedback, ask questions, and track progress. Email (support@chykalophia.com) is available for anything outside ClickUp.
