What a care plan is NOT
Good to know
A care plan covers the ongoing health and security of your existing site. It does not include new design work, new features, or significant content changes. Those are quoted separately. If you're unsure whether something is covered, just ask us.
Specifically, a care plan does not include:
- Building new pages or redesigning existing ones
- Adding new functionality (e-commerce, booking systems, etc.)
- Writing or editing your content
- Managing your social media or email marketing
- SEO campaign work
If you need any of those things, we're happy to quote them as a separate project.
How updates work
We don't run updates blindly. Our process is:
Back up your site. Before any update, we take a full backup so we can restore instantly if something goes wrong.
Update on a staging site first. We apply updates to a copy of your site, not the live version, and test that everything still works.
Review the results. We check key pages, forms, and functionality before approving.
Push to live. Once we're satisfied nothing broke, we apply the updates to your real site.
See How we test changes before they go live for more detail.
How backups work
We take a complete backup of your site every day. That includes all your content, images, settings, and database. Backups are stored in a separate location from your hosting server, so a server problem can't wipe them out.
If something goes wrong — a bad update, accidental deletion, or anything else — we can restore your site quickly. See How backups work and Restoring your site from a backup for full details.
Response times
Priority support
Care plan clients receive priority responses. For emergencies (site down, security incident), we aim to acknowledge within a few hours during business hours. For routine requests, we respond within one business day.
See When & how to request emergency support for what to do in an urgent situation.
