Logging in to WP Engine
Step-by-step instructions for logging in to the WP Engine User Portal and accessing your WordPress site.
The WP Engine User Portal is your control center for managing your WordPress hosting. Here's how to access it and navigate to your site.
Quick summary
Log in to the WP Engine User Portal at my.wpengine.com using your email and password. From there, find your site under "Sites" and click through to manage it. You can also access WordPress admin directly from the portal.
What you'll need
Beginner 2 minutes- A WP Engine account (or access as an invited user)
- Your email address and password for that account
How to log in
Go to the WP Engine User Portal. Open your browser and navigate to my.wpengine.com.
Enter your email and password. These are the credentials for your WP Engine account.
Click Log in. You'll arrive at the main User Portal dashboard.
Find your site. From the dashboard, click on Sites in the navigation or find your site in the list on the home screen.
Click your site name. This opens the management page for that specific WordPress install.
If you've forgotten your password
Go to the login page at my.wpengine.com.
Click "Forgot your password?" below the login form.
Enter your email address and submit the form.
Check your email for a password reset link. Follow it to create a new password.
Accessing WordPress admin from WP Engine
From the site overview in the User Portal:
Open the site's management page by clicking its name.
Look for the WordPress admin link. WP Engine provides a one-click link to your WordPress admin (wp-admin) from the site overview.
Click the link to open your WordPress dashboard in a new tab. You may be logged in automatically, or you may need to enter your WordPress credentials.
Two-factor authentication
WP Engine supports two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. If 2FA is enabled on your account, you'll be prompted for a verification code after entering your password. The code comes from an authenticator app on your phone.
We recommend enabling 2FA. See how to set up two-factor authentication for general guidance.
Access as an invited user
If someone (us or your team) has added you as a user on a WP Engine account, you'll receive an invitation email. Click the link in that email to set up your password and access the portal.
When adding Chykalophia to your WP Engine account, use support@chykalophia.com — unless your project lead specifies a different address. See give us access to your WP Engine hosting for details.
